The Tata Sierra EV brings back one of India's most iconic SUV nameplates as a fully electric model, and it is one of the most anticipated EVs expected to reach the Nepali market, positioned as a longer-range, higher-comfort alternative to Tata's smaller EVs.
As of writing, Tata Motors has launched the Sierra EV in India starting at Rs 18.79 lakh, but it has not yet been officially launched or priced in Nepal - it is expected to arrive through Tata's Nepal dealer network, with early estimates (based on current Indian pricing and Nepal's import tax structure) suggesting the Pure 63 kWh variant could land somewhere around Rs 62-66 lakh, and the longer-range Empowered AWD 75 kWh flagship considerably higher, around Rs 82-88 lakh. Treat the price listed here as an estimate until Tata Nepal confirms official pricing.
The claimed 665 km range on the top 75 kWh variant would make it one of the longest-range EVs available in Nepal if and when it launches, easily covering long-distance routes like Kathmandu to Pokhara or Chitwan on a single charge with real margin to spare.
This is the SUV for a buyer who wants to be an early adopter of one of the most talked-about new EV nameplates, is comfortable with pricing and availability details still settling once it officially reaches Nepal, and wants maximum range and cabin space rather than the smallest possible price tag.
